Areete AI Showcases “Ayushman Cowfit” at VivaTech 2026, Indian Dairy AI Innovation to the Global Stage

Indian agritech innovation gained international visibility this week as Pune-based startup Areete AI unveiled its flagship livestock health platform, Ayushman Cowfit, at VivaTech 2026 in Paris—Europe’s largest startup and technology exhibition. The company showcased its patented, AI-powered, non-invasive wearable technology designed to transform dairy herd management through continuous animal health monitoring and precision reproductive analytics.

The showcase places Indian livestock technology alongside some of the world’s leading artificial intelligence innovations at an event that attracted more than 200,000 attendees, 15,000 startups, over 4,500 partners and more than 2,000 investors from around the world. India was also featured prominently as a partner country during this year’s event, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron.

AI for Precision Dairy Farming

Ayushman Cowfit is built around a lightweight, non-invasive wearable patch that continuously captures physiological and behavioural data from dairy cattle. Using proprietary artificial intelligence algorithms, the platform analyses multiple health parameters in real time to support early disease detection, reproductive management and overall herd productivity. According to the company, the system is capable of:

  • Continuous monitoring of key bovine health indicators

  • Early detection of health abnormalities before clinical symptoms appear

  • Prediction of optimal fertility and insemination timing

  • Identification of silent heat cycles that are often missed through conventional observation

  • Digital herd management and performance analytics

The platform aims to help dairy producers make faster, data-driven management decisions while reducing reproductive losses and improving overall farm efficiency.

Addressing a Major Economic Challenge

Reproductive inefficiency remains one of the largest hidden costs in dairy farming worldwide. Missed heat cycles, delayed conception and undetected health disorders can significantly reduce milk production and increase veterinary intervention costs.

Artificial intelligence-based monitoring systems are increasingly viewed as a practical solution because they enable:

  • earlier intervention,

  • improved conception rates,

  • reduced calving intervals,

  • enhanced animal welfare,

  • lower labour requirements, and

  • more efficient herd management.

Wearable livestock technologies are becoming an important component of precision livestock farming, a rapidly expanding segment of digital agriculture.

Integration with Amul Cooperative Network

One of the most significant aspects of the project is its ongoing field integration trials with Amul’s cooperative dairy network.

If successfully validated at commercial scale, the technology could demonstrate how AI-enabled precision livestock management can be deployed across one of the world’s largest dairy cooperative ecosystems, potentially benefiting thousands of dairy producers through improved reproductive performance and proactive animal healthcare.

India is the world’s largest milk producer, contributing roughly one-quarter of global milk production, making digital technologies that improve productivity particularly relevant to the country’s dairy sector.

Growing Global Interest in Livestock AI

The international debut of Ayushman Cowfit reflects growing investor and industry interest in artificial intelligence for animal agriculture.

Globally, livestock AI solutions are increasingly being developed for:

  • health monitoring,

  • fertility management,

  • lameness detection,

  • mastitis prediction,

  • behavioural analytics,

  • feed optimisation,

  • precision nutrition, and

  • sustainability reporting.

Technology companies are combining wearable sensors, cloud computing, machine learning and predictive analytics to improve farm productivity while supporting animal welfare and environmental sustainability.

India’s Expanding Agritech Footprint

Ariti AI’s participation at VivaTech highlights India’s growing presence in deep-tech agriculture and livestock innovation. As digital transformation accelerates across the global dairy industry, indigenous AI platforms designed for large-scale cooperative farming could become increasingly attractive in emerging markets across Asia, Africa and Latin America.

With successful commercial validation, technologies such as Ayushman Cowfit have the potential to support more efficient reproductive management, improve herd health outcomes and contribute to higher milk productivity, reinforcing India’s position as an emerging source of advanced livestock technology for global dairy production.
