India’s leading poultry integrator, Venky’s India witnessed the impact of demand slowdown and prevailing lower prices of broiler chickens in its recently announced Sales and Earnings for Q1′ 2025-26.

Venkys India posted a near 79 per cent drop in its first-quarter profit on Friday, impacted by shrinking poultry business margins shrank, on account of over-supply of broiler chickens and muted market demand leading to lower price realizations.

The poultry major reported a net profit of ₹15.83 crore ($1.81 million) in the quarter ended June 30, compared to last year’s ₹75.18 crore ($8.85 million) in the same period.

India’s poultry industry remains impacted by over supply coupled with slower growth in demand leading to poor market realizations by leading poultry integrators and chicken producers in India. Poultry integrators in Q1′ FY 2025-26 were forced to liquidate stocks at lower prices.
