Zoetis Receives Approval for Lenivia® (izenivetmab) in Great Britain

• First long-acting canine anti-nerve growth factor monoclonal antibody therapy administered once every three months

Zoetis UK Ltd. announced that the UK’s Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) has approved Lenivia^® (izenivetmab injection) for the alleviation of pain associated with osteoarthritis in dogs. Backed by a decade of science and research, Lenivia is a new antibody therapy that, in a field study, showed dogs receiving it experienced improved mobility and reduced pain after a single injection. Lenivia offers effective alleviation from pain associated with osteoarthritis for up to three months with a single injection, acting via its novel binding to nerve growth factor (NGF), a recognised mediator of pain and inflammation.
